Rhyan Michelle Moody was born on April 19, 2003. From the beginning, Rhyan was loving and fun. Her family and friends were her world. She was friends with everyone . . . and wanted everyone to feel included. Rhyan was quiet when you first met her, but once you got her talking, she did not stop!! Her rolling belly laugh was contagious!
During middle school, Rhyan started excelling at gymnastics. She also tried her hand at volleyball. Much to her surprise, she was pretty good!!! Even though Rhyan enjoyed volleyball, her passion was cheerleading. She began cheering in the 1st grade and went on to cheer in middle school and then at Colleyville Heritage. Along with gymnastics and cheer, Rhyan loved singing in the choir, playing with her Wednesday night youth group at church, and was a wonderful student.
Her ambition was to go cheer at Texas Christian University (TCU) and become a neonatal nurse. I have no doubts that if given the chance, Rhyan would have achieved her dreams!
Unfortunately, Rhyan never made it to TCU. Our vibrant 14-year-old freshman's life was cut short by a senseless act. While riding home from Thanksgiving dinner with her grandparents, a wreckless driver ran a red light and struck their car broad side in the rear passenger door where Rhyan was sitting. Our beautiful Rhyan was killed instantly. She passed away November 23, 2017. She is now dancing, flipping, and singing in heaven. She is our guardian angel, watching over each of us . . . and what a beautiful angel she is! Her favorite saying was, “Every day is a good day!"...the inspiration for the name of our foundation!
