RHYAN'S STORY

Rhyan Michelle Moody was born on April 19, 2003. From the beginning, Rhyan was loving, outgoing and happy-go-lucky. Her family and friends were her world. She was friends with everyone . . . and wanted everyone to feel included. Her rolling belly laugh was contagious and her crazy dance moves were like no other! You couldn't help but smile when you were around her.

During middle school, Rhyan was involved in tumbling and cheer. She also tried her hand at volleyball, and much to her surprise, she was pretty good!!! Even though Rhyan enjoyed volleyball, her passion was cheerleading. She began cheering in the 1st grade and went on to cheer in middle school and then as a freshman at Colleyville Heritage High School.  Along with tumbling and cheer, Rhyan loved singing in her school choir, gathering with her friends at youth group on Wednesday nights and helping others in her community by volunteering.

Rhyan's dream was to go cheer at Texas Christian University (TCU) and become a neonatal nurse. We have no doubts that if given the chance, Rhyan would have achieved her dreams!

Unfortunately, Rhyan never made it to TCU. Our vibrant 14-year-old's life was cut short by a senseless act. While riding home from Thanksgiving dinner with her grandparents, a reckless driver ran a red light and struck their car broad side in the rear passenger door where Rhyan was sitting. Our world was turned upside down instantly. Rhyan passed away November 23, 2017.  She is our guardian angel, watching over each of us every day... and what a beautiful angel she is!

Rhyan's favorite Bible verse was Isaiah 43:2, "When you go through deep waters, I will be with you."

Her favorite thing to say when someone was having a bad day was, “Every day is a good day!"...the inspiration for the name of our foundation!
